Ayurveda Yoga Massage

Double Locks

This riverside mecca has a magnetic pull on Exonians when the weather's fine. You can get there by foot or car but it's more fun to take a bike and wobble back on the cycle path. It's the perfect setting to savour a real ale or cider, and the pub grub soacks up any potential hangovers. You can waste hours sat outside watching people's dogs chasing sticks into the water, or superfit rowers heading towards the locks.

There are live bands dotted throughout the year, and ale festivals and barbeques during the summer. Just watch out for the queues at the bar. We recommend taking a warm top if you're planning a long session, and a large blanket and other sundries to guarantee a comfy spot out the back.

Slap-bang in the middle of Princesshay square, this place provides the perfect meeting place. The outside seating is a great spot for people-watching/posing and the regular cocktail happy hour is a beautiful thing.

Night Strike Women's 5 a side

Night Strike is the only FA affiliated Women's 5 a side league.

We meet each week (minus the holidays) in Exeter at Exeter School, and Cullompton at the Leisure Centre. More venues are planned for the future.

The Angel Bar

The friendly laid-back vibes and eclectic music of this European-style bar make it distinct from some of its gaudier rivals in the city centre.

Tea on the Green

Timepiece

For late night frolics make your way up the well-worn cobbles of Little Castle Street and join the queue for Timepiece. Long-establised and consistently popular with students and anyone wanting an alternative to some of the cheesier late night offerings elsewhere in the city centre.

The downstairs bar and outside seating gets packed late at night and is great for socialising into the wee hours. The outside BBQ keeps the beer monsters happy. Upstairs the main floor is one big party on Friday and Saturday nights. The smaller, top floor is more intimate and groovesome.

There's something on every night of the week to float your boat, with the muiscal mix including everything from urban, salsa, and r'n'b to indie, pop, drum 'n' bass, and house.

Thirsty Farmer

Set at the heart of Whimple near Exeter, this traditional village pub is full of rustic charm, and provides fine cask ales, the warmest of welcomes and those home made traditional pub favourites we come to expect from our village inns. You'll also find an extensive a la carte menu prepared by Chris the South African chef for the more adventurous, with local meat, fish and game used to great effect.
